How much does an AI consultant cost here?
A Decision Session is $450 and the AI Time Audit is $750. Builds start at $1,000, our founding price for one custom agent, and each build's price is fixed in your written plan. Monthly AI Care is $750 a month. Every starting price is on this page.
Can I ask you something before I buy?
Yes. Write to hello@merchantmatrixai.com about any offer and we'll reply by email. Advice on your own business is a Decision Session: one question, answered in writing. Our workshops are free.
Which AI do you use?
Whatever fits the job, often ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Microsoft Copilot. We're independent: no partnerships and no commissions. You pay your AI subscription directly, about $20 to $30 a person a month, and we never mark it up.
Is my business data safe?
We set up business plans with training on your data switched off, give each person their own login, and write a one-page policy on what never goes into AI. Anything that messages your customers waits for your OK until you choose otherwise.
Can I buy a build without talking to you first?
Yes. Pay the kickoff on this page and we write your plan within 5 business days of your plan session. Until you approve it, you can cancel for a full refund.
What does "working" mean?
It passes the test written in your plan, run on samples of your own work, and we record it passing. Your plan lists every check before we start building.
What if you're waiting on me?
The date moves day for day while we wait on access or files we asked for in writing. Nothing else moves it.
Do you do my taxes?
No. Month-End Books sets up the system that keeps your books ready each month. Your accountant still files your taxes and gives tax advice.
Will a custom AI agent answer my customers?
No. An agent does one job inside your business, like a morning brief, inbox sorting, follow-ups with your staff and vendors, quote drafts or weekly numbers. It never answers or chases customer inquiries, and you approve anything that matters before it goes out.
Can you build something that isn't listed?
Yes. Any other integration or build is priced at $3,000, $6,000 or $9,000, fixed in your written plan, with the same plan, test and refund terms.
What if my team is bigger than 10?
Team AI Setup is $3,000 for up to 10 people and $1,000 for each extra 10, up to 50. Bigger teams start with the AI Time Audit.
Do I need to be technical?
No. You approve a plan in plain English, give us access, and watch the test pass. We do the setup.
Do you build websites or run marketing?
No. We work inside your business: your team, your books, your invoices and your tools.

What happens after the 30 days of free fixes?
Nothing, unless you want Monthly AI Care: $750 a month, cancel anytime. It keeps everything we built working as AI tools change.
